Tigulavut, a pilot initiative developed by the Inuit Broadcasting Corporation, is finishing after a two-month educational program aimed at enhancing Inuit storytelling through modern media. Launched in June in Ottawa, the project focused on equipping 17 Inuit youth with essential skills in film and media. The conclusion of this program will be marked by a showcase in Iqaluit, where participants will present their work. This effort not only aimed to provide the youth with technical skills but also foster a deeper appreciation for Inuit narratives and culture within contemporary contexts. By involving young people in media creation, the project sought to empower them and ensure the continuation of Inuit storytelling traditions.
