Cygnus Metals Limited has published an update on its drilling activities at the Copper Rand and Gwillim projects, located in Canada. The results from the Copper Rand project, which involved step-out drilling around a historic mine, show substantial intersections of mineralization. Notably, one of the reported results included an intersection of 20.3 metres at 4.2 grams per tonne gold equivalent.
Additionally, the Gwillim project, which is undergoing its first drill program, has reported intersecting gold mineralisation in all holes drilled. This marks a positive development for the Chibougamau Copper-Gold Project, as the firm continues to explore these promising areas for mineral resources. The historic Copper Rand mine had previously produced 14.9 million tonnes of ore at a grade of 3.9% copper equivalent, amounting to a total of 268,000 tonnes of copper, thereby establishing a precedent for the potential of current activities.
