Nexcel Metals Corp. has announced the initiation of a core relogging and resampling program at its Burnt Hill Tungsten Project, located in central New Brunswick. The company is currently assessing 26 historical diamond drill holes, which were drilled by Miramichi Lumber Company Ltd. in 1979. The total length of these drill holes amounts to 5,687 meters. These samples have been preserved in the New Brunswick government core library and will be analyzed to gather more information on the tungsten deposit's potential.
The core relogging and resampling program is expected to provide valuable insights into the geological characteristics of the Burnt Hill project and aid in the future exploration activities of Nexcel Metals. Tungsten is a critical mineral that is increasingly in demand for various industrial applications. Conducting thorough examinations of historical data is a common practice in the mining industry, as it can lead to new discoveries and opportunities for resource development.
