Legacy Gold Mines Ltd., based in Calgary, Alberta, has released promising assay results from its drilling activities at the Baner Gold Mine Property located in Idaho County, Idaho. The results come from the third drill hole, designated LG26-004, as part of the company's Phase 1 drill program for 2026. The initial assays report an intersection of 1.14 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over a length of 44.3 feet (approximately 13.5 metres) from the surface. Additionally, the company found a higher grade intersection of 2.4 g/t gold over 26.9 feet (around 8.2 metres), which includes a notable section of 6.6 g/t gold over 7.5 feet (approximately 2.3 metres).
These results signify an extension of the main mineralized zone to the west by 558 feet (170 metres), potentially enhancing the overall resource potential of the Baner Gold Mine. The company has stated that these findings will be pivotal as they continue their exploration and development activities in the area. The ongoing drilling program aims to further assess the economic viability of the site and to provide additional data for future resource estimation.
The Baner Gold Mine property is situated in a region known for its mineral resources, and the recent results may impact not only the company’s future operations but also the local economy, particularly through job creation and investment opportunities. As Legacy Gold Mines Ltd. continues its exploration efforts, the results from this drilling campaign will be closely monitored by investors and stakeholders in the mining industry.
