Memorial University has received a substantial private donation aimed at advancing research on multiple sclerosis (MS). The Branch Out Neurological Foundation has provided $723,820 from the Ralph M. Barford Foundation specifically for this purpose. The research will be conducted under the leadership of Dr. Craig Moore, alongside the late Dr. Michelle Ploughman, who was also instrumental in the project’s development.
The focus of this study will explore the impact of exercise on individuals with multiple sclerosis. Preliminary findings suggest that exercise could play a beneficial role in managing symptoms and enhancing quality of life for those affected by the disease.
