On July 27, Saskatchewan RCMP officers, part of the Roving Traffic Unit, conducted a compliance and safety check on a semi-truck on Highway 13 near Ponteix. During this stop, officers discovered that the vehicle was transporting 24,000 kilograms of a corrosive liquid illegally. The truck was halted around 9:30 a.m. and subsequent investigations were initiated.
